Fauci explains why his launch was out of place


Dr. Anthony Fauci was the butt of many jokes on Thursday, when his first pitch to start the 2020 season was entirely.

But the next day, the White House Coronavirus Task Force member explained to the Wall Street Journal that his pitch was misplaced because he had played the night before to warm up, and it hurt him.

“My arm was hanging around my shoes,” he said.

Fauci is a great admirer of the Nationals, and it was logical that he gave the ceremonial speech, since he continues to lead the United States during the coronavirus pandemic.
