Blackpink’s long-awaited return single “How You Like That” has topped this week’s new music poll.
In the survey, published on Friday (June 26) the Billboard, music fans voted for the catchy new song, which comes just after “Sour Candy,” the South Korean girl group’s recent collaboration with Lady Gaga.
“How You Like That”, which will appear on Blankpink’s upcoming debut album, garnered 72% of the vote. The album is slated for release in September through YG Entertainment / Interscope.
Written by Teddy and Danny Chung, “How You Like That” ends Blackpink’s one-year musical hiatus from 2019 Kill this love EP, which peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200. The edgy video for the new song had already garnered more than 130 million views by the time of publication.
Second in this week’s poll with 10% of the vote was Charlie Puth’s new song “Girlfriend”, her first single from 2020. Melanie Martinez’s powerful “Fire Drill” came in third with 8%. of the votes.
