Westworld Creators Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan continue to line up new projects as part of their general nine-figure deal with Amazon.
Amazon Studios has licensed the rights to the best-selling video game franchise Fall out, with married writers and showrunners Joy and Nolan teaming up to oversee potential television series. The project is currently under development, but has a serial commitment penalty attached. That means if Amazon executives like the script, Fall out It would bypass the traditional pilot stage and go straight to the series (or if it passes, everyone involved would be paid as if it had been). A writer is not currently attached.
Making his debut in 1997, Fall out it is set in the future envisioned by Americans in the late 1940s when the country explodes on itself through a nuclear war in 2077. The series takes place on a harsh wasteland against the utopian idea of the previous generation of a better world through nuclear energy.
Joy and Nolan will be executive producing the series through their Kilter Films poster in association with game publishers Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks. Athena Wickham from Kilter, Todd Howard from Bethesda Game Studios and James Altman from Bethesda Softworks will also be executive producers.
