Fall Guys tops Steam charts, defeating Horizon Zero Dawn

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout has been the talk of the town all week, and now it’s off and above the Steam charts.

Steam publishes a Weekly Top Sellers list every Sunday, and this particular Sunday is obviously no different. Well, it’s a little different, because the top-ranked game for this week is one where you play like a klutzy bean that thrives on pressing other klutzy beans from incredibly high platforms – Fall Guys is officially number one .

This means it beat last week’s bestseller, Grounded, from the top spot. Grounded now sits nicely at number three, right behind the recently released Horizon Zero Dawn PC port.

It’s important to note that this list offers room for total sales as opposed to units sold – which makes the rise of Fall Guys even more impressive, given the significantly lower price than larger games. Also, the Collector’s Edition of Fall Guys is number four, which means it’s twice in the top five. People really like other people over in video games.

It is worth mentioning that Horizon Zero Dawn only launched on Friday, which means it has so far only had a few days of sales after launch. There’s a very possible possibility that with a full week ahead, Fall Guys could make headlines by the time new week’s charts ran. Or maybe Fall Guys’ government will continue as the most popular bean game of all time.

Besides Steam, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is currently free on PS4 for PS Plus subscribers as part of this month’s gifts. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is also free, but it’s just the campaign.
