Last week’s race at Silverstone took a while to get going, but when it did, it did not disappoint. Valtteri Bottas was in second place with two laps to go when his tire disintegrated at the slightest possible moment – just as he was past the corners. That condemned him to a finish in 11th place, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton managed to crawl on three wheels to victory after suffering his own puncture in the final lap, with Red Vers’ Max Verstappen leading him all the way time followed.
