Exactly where to find KFC’s new plant-based fried chicken

Starting today, KFC will launch its new plant-based Beyond Fried Chicken at more than 50 locations in Southern California while supplies last. Chicken is available in a six-piece and 12-piece combo meal that includes Secret Recipe Fries and a drink, or as a 12-piece a la carte option with a dipping sauce option (KFC has confirmed that Sweet N Tangy is a plant – settled down). KFC has also stated that while the pips are 100 percent plant-based, some diners may not consider vegan options because they are prepared in the same fryers as their traditional chicken.

“I said it before: Despite many knockoffs, the flavor of Kentucky Fried Chicken is one that has never been replicated, even Beyond Fried Chicken,” said Andrea Zahumensky, chief marketing officer for KFC in the United States. “We know the east coast loved it, so we thought we would give the west coast a chance to tell us what they think at an exclusive glance.”
