Previously scheduled to release this week before being pushed back to early October, Shadowlands will now launch on November 23 at 3pm PST (November 24 at 12am CET).

Released in August 2019 to coincide with the franchise’s 15th anniversary, Classic allows World of Warcraft subscribers to experience the early days of the Blizzard MMO with an authentic recreation of the pre-expansion game.
“In World of Warcraft, we have seen unprecedented engagement trends since the subscriber base doubled after the launch of Classic last year,” said Kotick.
“Pre-sales for the upcoming Shadowlands expansion are the highest we have seen at this stage prior to any release,” he continued.
“Blizzard has the largest team that has ever worked to ensure that Shadowlands meets the highest expectations of our players and to deliver major content releases more frequently in both the modern and classic game for years to come.”
Blizzard today announced the dates for the following Shadowlands content releases:
- The Scourge Invades Azeroth November 10 – With the Helm of Domination shattered and the sky above Icecrown shattered, the Scourge of the undead resurfaces, and the heroes of Azeroth must face this threat of Death before it consumes the mortal world of Azeroth. This pre-expansion event for Shadowlands will be available starting November 10.
- Nathria Castle gates open on December 8 – Castle Nathria, the first Epic 10 Boss Raid in Shadowlands, will be available starting December 8. The opening of the raid also marks the start of Shadowlands Raid, Mythic Dungeon, and PvP Season 1.
