Like almost every other game console ever made, the PS5 comes in a cardboard box. But what is that box like? It’s a question that kept us awake at night, and now we have the answer. Behold, in all its blue and white splendor: the PS5 box!
If you’re Brad Pitt in the 1995 hit movie Seven, you’re probably wondering: What’s in the box? Well here you go.
The system comes with the following:
PS5 console
DualSense controller
HDMI cable
Power cable
To be
USB Cable
Manuals and other printed materials
It’s a bit surprising to see such a straightforward design when we consider the PS5 itself, which has a unique curved design and large panels on both sides. Sony may have felt it could speak for itself without a bunch of other images or screenshots in the box.
And you didn’t ask, but here’s the PS5 box along with a banana and an egg:
As you can see, it is significantly larger than the banana and the egg. The PS5 is one of the largest gaming consoles ever, dwarfing the PS4 and even the PS4 Pro. While it’s not as thick as the Xbox Series X, it’s quite a bit taller. This could cause problems in certain entertainment centers, but the included stand can be used to position it vertically or horizontally. Also make sure that you can access the console with relative ease, as you can remove the panels and vacuum dust through special channels in the systems. Hopefully this will help prevent the fan from making too much noise.
The PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition will launch on November 12, just two days after the Xbox Series X and Series S.
