Here we are at the end of another week, which this time gave us some serious insight into Nintendo’s business practices, a Super Mario Bros. 35 bombshell, and the announcement of an iconic new Fire Emblem release.
However, with the weekend upon us, it’s time to discuss our weekend game plans. Nintendo Life members have done exactly that below, and we’d love for you to join us via our poll and comment sections. Enjoy!

I wish I invested a little more in Pokémon Sword and Shield. I finished the main game, raised my group a bit and moved on. Armor island I squeezed a few more hours out of myself, but this weekend I’ll be back at Galar one more time and maybe this time the “post-game” will hook me.
The crown tundra just came out and this seems to be the real heart of the Expansion Pass. Not only is there an entirely new Wild Area to explore, but Dynamax Adventures, featuring Legendary Pokémon from previous games, sounds like the time sink you’ve been waiting for.
I have also come back to me Person 5 Except for some reason I dropped out around the 70 o’clock mark (we can pretend it’s on Switch, right?) I’m probably in an alternate universeme.

Hi. This weekend I’m going to jump to Green HellCreepy Jar’s brutal survival effort thus far has been absolutely hitting me with snakebites, parasites, and all kinds of nasty and nasty ways to die, so look out for that review shortly if I manage to get to the other side of it all. . In another place I finally reinstalled Valkyria Chronicles 4 and i’m convinced i’m going to get it right this time without my attention being diverted to some other shiny new game … although i quite like it Horatio Y Mario Tennis Aces it’s on sale right now … oh god stop it! Have a good weekend whatever you are playing and stay safe.

Apart from bombing Oddworld: New N ‘Tasty for review (keep an eye out for that one!), and some cheeky seshes at Shadow of Mordor (not Nintendo, shh, don’t tell the guys!), I’ve been spending time on both Operation GI Joe Blackout Y Transformers Battlegrounds, both to review here in the near future. Just call me “Mr. Hasbro”. Actually, please don’t, it would be a shame.
Looking at my usual retro malarkey, I’ve been looking up Mega Man Legacy 2 Collection, which is still notoriously incomplete by me. I’m just not sure I can muster another play from Mega man 8. Jump jump. Swipe, swipe …

I finally put Rogue Legacy to bed last week. Yes, I attacked the final boss on the other side of the room with a constant barrage of throwing daggers from my Archmage – totally legitimate strategy! – and now there is nothing between me and hell. There was nothing between us before, other than a mental barrier that I didn’t want to have two rogues on the move, but I’m sure you understand.
There are many other things I could dive into. I went and bought Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit (or Luigi Kart Live, as my variant should be called), and I’d like to unlock the faster 200cc mode and see how the cats cope. I’m also only a handful of hours in the excellent Horatioand I picked up Killer Queen Black for mere pennies on sale. And all of that is just the tip of the huge iceberg that is my accumulation. Whatever you do, don’t mention the Game of the Year yet …

Having finished the first game in LEGO Harry Potter Collection This week, I found myself diving into the second, exploring the last years of this brick trip to Hogwarts. It already looks like this game could be significantly bigger than the first one, so it looks like it could be here for some time.
I have also collected the physical version of Cadence of Hyrule this week, since I never played it the first time, and also Pokémon Sword and ShieldThe Crown Tundra DLC to play. It’s my birthday today too, so this is going to be a very busy weekend! Have good people.

I think this is a record week for physical arrivals. My collection has grown by no less than eleven tiles, including game number 400 (!) … and it’s not a “proper” Nintendo Switch game … not even a 2020 game! I finally have in my hands the physical Switch edition of Xeno Crisis! I can’t believe I still haven’t been able to complete this game in single player.
It’s also my game of the week despite some heavyweights like Horatio, Death Ray Manta, GoNNER2, Ys origin, Transformers Battlegrounds, the dood with the attitude Prinny 1.2 exploited and reloaded and even Torch III all on this weekend’s rotation.
As always, thanks for reading! Be sure to leave a vote in the poll above and a comment below with your gaming options for the next few days …
