Although it is not as popular or well known as its sequel series, Metal gear He was a pioneer of the stealth / action genre in his day. Originally released on MXV Home Computer in 1987, the title was later carried over to numerous platforms, including the Nintendo Entertainment System. Metal Gear Solid It needs no introduction as it is still considered one of the best video games of all time. Released for the PlayStation in 1998, the game broke new ground for the gaming industry, especially in the stealth and narrative department.
Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, which is a newer version of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, it follows the pattern of an excellent narrative combined with the stealth / action mechanic, but goes even further in terms of making the player question everything about what is actually happening. Despite mixed reviews compared to its predecessor, the game was still a huge success in 2001 when it was released, and it became one of the must-have titles for PlayStation 2. The Konami Collector’s Series: Castlevania and Contra carries five of the best 8-bit generation NES games; Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simons Quest, Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, Contra, Y Super C.
GOG has stated that all of these titles will be playable with or without a controller, as well as being fully up-to-date to be played on current PC versions. This is quite a refreshing thing to see, as older games moving onto the PC have an unfortunate history of being unable to run or not being fully optimized with current software or operating systems. GOG, which is run by The Wizard Y Cyberpunk 2077 developers / publishers CD Project Red, distributes almost nothing but old / classic titles on its platform, hence the acronym for its full name Good Old Games.
