The year 2020, for many, was defined by tragedy and unrest – global epidemics, numerous deaths and disasters, and the U.S. Of a busy presidential election, whose names were few. However, the year enhanced by tragedies also brought some achievements and inspiring moments.

Here are the five most historic, historic and uplifting events of 2020:

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, made history in May, bringing two people into orbit for the first time since the private company was founded in 2002.

For the first time since July 2011, NASA astronauts Bob Behanken and Doug Hurley became the first Americans to lift off an American rocket.

“It’s an honor to be part of this huge effort to get the United States back into the launching business,” Hurley said minutes before the liftoff.

2. The COVID-19 vaccine was created in record time

The Kovid-19 epidemic has completely changed the way people around the world live their daily lives. It infects about 80 million people and kills 1.7 million people worldwide. The ferocity of the virus partly promotes worldwide efforts to accelerate the development of a single vaccine.

The United Kingdom has become the first Western country to vaccinate the elderly after the country’s health authorities approved the Pfizer-Biontech vaccine on December 2. Margaret Cannon, a 90-year-old grandmother, became the first person in the West to receive COVID. 19 vaccines outside of clinical trials.

A few weeks after vaccination efforts began in the UK, the USA also approved a vaccine developed by Pfizer and began inoculating healthcare workers. In Indiana, healthcare workers were so eager to get vaccinated that they broke the state registration system before the vaccine could reach the state.

The 2020 election had an estimated 159 million votes, with a total of 101 million pre-election ballots, the highest in the U.S. in 100 years.

The highest number of votes of any candidate in history was won by Biden more than a million crores.

The Americans celebrated Harris’ nomination for vice president and his subsequent victory.

“Parasitic” made history in February, becoming the first non-English-language film to win the Best Picture in Scar.

Parasites also won awards for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay, Best International Feature Film, and Best Production Design and Best Film Editing.

This year’s nominations were among the many that highlighted the great achievements of diversity in Hollywood. In September, actress Zendeya became the lead actress of the youngest drama to win an Emmy for her role in HBO’s “Euphoria”.

Actress and musician Aquafina also became the first person of Asian descent to win a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role in “The Farewell”.
