The story of a struggle of a special character and a different direction than the “Saad” family, which includes two of the most prominent celebrities in the artistic community, was led by Dr. Sameh Saad, Global Health Security Expert and Chief from the Oncology Biology Research Unit, older brother of artist Amr Saad and Ahmed Saad.

His full name is Sameh Saad Ali Sayed Kenawy, he graduated from Ain Shams University College of Science, Department of Chemistry in 1988.
His academic name, according to the official website of the Zewail City of Science and Technology, is a professor of biophysics at the Center for the Study of Aging and Associated Diseases.
After graduating, Sameh Saad continued his educational career, earning a master’s degree from Tohoku University, Japan, in photochemistry in 1994, and then a doctorate in 1997.
Dr. Sameh Saad began his career as a professor of physical chemistry at Ain Shams University, from which he graduated, but soon began his career as a professor at foreign universities, thus his work at the 1998 “Janz” University of Technology in Austria was his first job abroad.
After that, he began to hold various positions at various universities, including the University of California in San Diego and Washington in San Luis, in addition to working in various specialized chemistry magazines.
During his research career, he has published more than 50 journal articles, the most prominent of which are Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Aging Cells, Antioxidant, Oxidative and Reduction Signaling, FASEB, Neurosciences, and Free Radical Biology and Medicine.
Sameh Saad’s interest was not limited only to physics and chemistry, but also to medicine. During his work as a researcher, Sameh Saad was able to discover the exceptional antioxidant properties of fluorine, and from here the Egyptian researcher became interested in the field of medicine and the biology of free radicals.

Artist Amr Saad recounted the journey of his brother Dr. Sameh Saad’s struggle, saying: “For years now, the stubborn young instructor, with an umrah of no more than 23 years, traveled to Japan and was a scholarship from the main Japanese universities because he refused to wait for his role in the mission and made a terrible effort, and despite his young age he was aware of the importance He traveled back in time, he had no money with him, and he had nothing but his perseverance, knowledge and goal, and little dreams of a simple family themselves, but they would overcome the difficulty of life with pride, joy and success.
“I chose Sameh Saad because I plan to win the Nobel Prize,” the late physicist Ahmed Zewail said in Dr. Sameh.
