Zamalek: We closed the Obama renewal file

Hossein El-Sayed, vice president of the Zamalek Executive Committee, announced that the club closed the renewal file of Youssef Obama, the team’s midfielder, and noted that it ruled out the signing of Tunisian midfielder Ferjani Sassi by another club in January.

Al-Sayed said, in statements broadcast on the Zamalek official website on Friday morning: “Obama’s renewal file has been completed after agreeing to all the terms of the new contract related to the period and annual salary.” .

He added: “There was a session with Obama’s agent and I witnessed the signing of an agreement with the new clauses, which include the recognition of the player and the club’s adherence to him during the current period.”

He explained: “The renewal file did not witness any obstacles between the two parties, and the negotiations did not take more than 10 minutes, and the player showed a strong desire and adhered to continue in the ranks of Zamalek, especially for being one of the team leaders and one of the club’s sons. “

Hussein Al-Sayed indicated that the signing of the contracts of Youssef Obama will be carried out within the following 48 hours, in order for the file to be definitively closed to preserve the stability of the first soccer team.

For his part, the vice president of the Zamalek Executive Committee confirmed that the administration is about to finalize the quotas of Ferjani Sassi for the next few years, to liquidate his renewal file after the player confirmed his desire to continue in the team.

He added: “Ferjani Sassi is a professional player who appreciates the value of Zamalek and knows that the club’s management wants to keep the player in return, and the only thing they are currently asking for is to obtain the financial quotas for the final agreement of the contracts of renewal”.

Al-Sayed concluded by saying: “I rule out signing Ferjani Sassi for any club during the next month of January, 6 months before his current contract with Zamalek ends, because we feel that he is one of the loyal sons of Zamalek in the current period. and he doesn’t want to leave the club. “
