Issam Salem, head of the media system in Zamalek, confirmed that the club had requested an amount of six million dollars to sell to Mustafa Muhammad during the upcoming winter transfer period.
“Matters are still pending between Zamalek and Mustafa Muhammad, in light of each side maintaining its position,” Salem said in a telephone statement to “Match” on the “Echo of the Country” channel on Saturday.
He added, “Mustafa Mohamed is determined to go professional, but we see that the time is not right and that the sum of 4 million dollars is not up to the value of Mustafa Mohamed, considered the best striker in Egypt.”
He explained: “We have no objection to Mustafa Mohamed entering the experience of professionalism, but on the condition that he obtains an economic return that is worthy of the player and the club.”
He continued: “Zamalek requested $ 6 million to sell Mustafa Mohamed in January.”
He noted: “The offer of $ 4 million to hire Mustafa Muhammad was not formally presented to us, but if his sale is approved, it will be officially received.”
Essam Salem concluded by saying: “The public pressure and the attack on Mustafa Mohamed is not justified because he is a son of Zamalek. Zamalek made the player star, but he also seeks his benefit.”
