A video of the star of Zamalek, Ferjani Sassi, who refuses to comply with the instructions of Moroccan doctors to leave the ambulance and enter the hospital, has been disseminated on communication sites after it was suspected that he was infected with the Corona virus.
According to Moroccan media, the Tunisian player Ferjani Sassi insisted on waiting in the ambulance until the arrival of one of the leaders of the Zamalek club, which angered the Moroccan medical staff, that the director of the hospital intervened and gave her instructions to return to the Tunisian player where she came from.
Sassi arrived last Thursday in Morocco, from Tunisia, after passing the quarantine period, having had contact with a Corona case, and joined the mission of his team, Zamalek, which is preparing to face its host Moroccan Wydad in the semi-finals of the African Champions League.
Those responsible for Zamalek decided to subject Sassi to a sanitary isolation within the team’s residence in Morocco, until a new swab is made to detect the Corona virus, but the Tunisian player asked yesterday, Friday, to go to an ambulance, to take him to a hospital in the city of Casablanca, which Sassi refused to enter.
The Zamalek club later on Friday issued an official statement, confirming that the first swab made by the Zamalek administration for Lassi had confirmed his infection with Corona.
The Tunisian international is expected to miss the match between Wydad and Zamalek scheduled for Sunday at the Mohammed V stadium in Casablanca.
