Zamalek issued an official statement explaining the position of the Tunisian team midfielder Ferjani Sassi on his infection with the Corona virus, hours before the Moroccan Raja’s match on Sunday in the first leg of the African Champions League semifinals.

He continued: “The player came in with reports confirming the negativity of the analyzes, but we insisted that he conduct two analyzes before he was allowed to be with the team, after his injury was questioned, especially since the Tunisian Federation did not He responded to the correspondence sent by Zamalek to send the results of the swabs he made with the equipment.

He continued: “Zamalek stipulated that the player will not join the mission until after the two tests were done summoning the player, and the first test was done and it seemed positive.”

Zamalek completed his statement, saying: “Another analysis will be done because we refused from the beginning to take the analysis that came with the player, and that the strict precautionary measures will be completed until the result of the second survey is known, in order to guarantee the safety of all members of the mission. “
