Hani Zadeh, a member of the Zamalek Club Board of Directors, outlined the steps his club would take to regain the title of Al-Ahly’s Al-Qarn Club, which was decided 20 years ago.
Mortada Mansour, president of Zamalek, had announced that the club was preparing a full archive to file a complaint with the International Football Association for the Century Club title, which Al-Ahly won in 2001.
Zamalek forms a special committee for the Century Club
Zadeh said the club formed a committee made up of Ahmed Jalal Ibrahim and members of Hani Zada, Ahmed Mortada Mansour and Ismail Youssef.
The committee will study and solicit the views of all Egyptian and foreign legal experts on the Century Club crisis.
He added that this committee will contact the African Football Confederation (CAF) to obtain some data, and then the committee’s report will be sent to Mortada Mansour for the sake of legal correction.
If the committee confirms more than 90% of the strength of Zamalek’s position, the white club will go to the International Sports Court and that study will take a maximum of 10 days.
Zadeh believes that the current leaders of the African Football Confederation are better than the last and will seek Zamalek’s right in the century title until the title returns to Mit Oqba Castle.
