The Zamalek Club handball team defeated their counterpart Al-Ahly with a score of 28/27 in the framework of the fourth round of the second phase of the men’s professional league for the local season 2020/2021 in the hall of the Estadio de Cairo.
The first half ended with a score of 15/14 in favor of the Al-Ahly team before Zamalek managed to advance in the second half to reach the 13th point.
Team Al-Ahly and teams Al-Zamalek are even in points so far on the leaderboard with a score of 13 points, where the difference in main goals is determined according to the announcement of the competition committee.
The Handball Federation headed by Hisham Nasr managed to save the summit from being postponed by obtaining the security clearance after the Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, intervened to mediate and urgently obtain the security clearance .
Hisham Nasr, president of the Handball Federation, issued a decree yesterday informing Al-Ahly and Zamalek Club about the celebration of the summit match in the fourth round of the second phase of the professional league on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in the pavilion from Cairo Stadium until security clearance is completed.
The match was held without the presence of the masses, as a response was sent to both clubs stating that only those with Al Ittihad card can attend the match.
