Activists on social media circulated a video clip showing the moment of death of a lightning commander in retired Libyan Major General Khalifa Haftar, during a school opening in eastern Libya.
The images showed Major General Wanis Bukhamada’s fall during his speech at a school opening in Benina, east Benghazi.
The page of Ahmed Al-Mesmari, the military spokesman for Haftar’s forces, published a statement in which he called Bukhamada, saying that he had died of a disease that “did not delay him long” without naming the disease.
The tweeters held the late Major General responsible for killing children and torturing innocent people, they said.
“Oh Baba, the water is salty.” So were the children of Qanfouda in Benghazi
Wanis Bukhamadeh, affiliate of Haftar, author of the saying: “God’s law, we are not a prophet.”
He will be held accountable to God for the displacement, murder and torture of the children of Ganfouda.
