Protesters from the Al-Kadaya village in the Atfih district of Giza governorate destroyed two cars of the Egyptian police forces as part of the demonstrations that started today, Saturday, against President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

For days, regions and cities of Egypt have witnessed a state of security alert, especially in the main governorate squares, while calls continue on social media for demonstrations in the streets and squares, calling for the departure of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi.
On Sunday morning, social media sites in Egypt witnessed a tag war in light of calls to demonstrate to overthrow President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, launched by actor and former military contractor Mohamed Ali, and activists and politicians interacted with her.
This comes as the security services tightened the alert state in the main streets and squares, with an intense media campaign in support of Sisi, in conjunction with international criticism of the human rights record in Egypt and the demands of release of political detainees.
Hashtags that opposed the Sisi regime topped social networking sites, such as “# We will not be afraid” and “# Down with the military government.”
On the other hand, regime supporters launched the tag “# You are not alone” in support of the Egyptian president, and mocked the lack of demonstrations by tagging “# Noah_delk.”
Pro-regime media launched a strong attack on the calls for demonstrations, considering them part of an external conspiracy aimed at overthrowing the state.
Earlier, sources confirmed to Al-Jazeera that the security services carried out a campaign of arrests against people from the Arab area of al-Ma’mal in Suez, following an anti-Sisi position in the region.
