The two accused of dragging the Maadi girl with their confessions in front of detectives during preliminary inquiries carried out by security services after the arrest of the perpetrators last night, Wednesday.
The two defendants, whom the prosecution ordered to be imprisoned for 4 days, said they specialized only in robberies and did not intend to kill or drag the girl that ultimately led to her death.
The two defendants joined in their confessions; That when one of them took out the girl “Maria’s” bag, it got stuck in her arm and was attracted to her by the speed of the car, and that it collided with the car that was stopped on the side of the road, causing it which resulted in his death.
The two defendants added: “It was not our intention to kill her. We just wanted to take the bag … But it got lost in the parked car, which is what caused her death … We are just stealing.”
The security services arrested the defendants dragging the victim, Maryam Muhammad, to death, while stealing her bag in Maadi last night.
The Public Ministry began investigations with them, and stated in a statement, on Wednesday, that a witness informed the police of having seen a car (white minibus) in which two were traveling, the escort driver snatched the victim’s bag, which led to her colliding with a parked car and later to her death. This morning, the Prosecutor’s Office ordered the arrest of the accused for 4 days.
