Today, Saturday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 57 of those infected with the Corona virus have been discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical attention and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those who recovered from the virus to cases from 2002 to today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesperson for the Ministry, said that the number of cases whose laboratory results were converted from positive to negative for Corona virus (Covid-19) increased to 2,476 cases, including 2002 recovered.
He added that 488 new cases were positive for laboratory analysis of the virus, as part of the ministry’s surveillance and investigation procedures according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, indicating the death of 11 new cases.
“Mujahid” said that all registered HIV positive cases in isolation and quarantine hospitals are subject to medical care, according to guidelines from the World Health Organization.
“Mujahid” stated that the total number recorded in Egypt with the new Corona virus until today, Saturday, is 8,964 cases, including the 2002 cases that were cured and discharged from isolation and quarantine hospitals, and 514 deaths.
The Ministry of Health and Population continues to increase its preparations in all provinces, follows the situation with respect to the “emerging crown” virus first hand and takes all necessary precautions against any virus or infectious disease, since the direct line has been assigned “105” and “15335” to receive inquiries from citizens about an emerging Corona virus and infectious diseases.
