Saudi club Al-Ittifaq signed a formal contract with Moroccan striker Walid Azaro for two seasons from Egypt’s Al-Ahly.
The agreement announced today, Friday, that he had signed a contract with Walid Azaro, to remain within the club’s walls until 2022.
Azaro arrived in Dammam yesterday, Thursday, to sign a new contract with the Saudi agreement, starting with the new season.
The Moroccan striker has previous experience with the deal when Al-Ahly loaned it out for six months since last January, but did not complete the loan period due to financial differences and left the team.
According to reports in the Saudi press, Al-Ahly will receive $ 900,000 from the sale of the Azaro contract, with $ 100,000 in installments remaining from the loan period.
Al-Ahly put a clause that gives him the advantage of contracting with the Moroccan striker in case of his return to Egypt, in addition to obtaining 40% of the resale.
Al-Ahly had included Azzaro from the ranks of the new Moroccan defender Hassani al-Jadida in 2017.
Azaro played 89 games for Al-Ahly, during which he scored 41 goals and scored 16 assists.
With Al-Ahly, the Moroccan star won the Premier League top scorer award for the 2017/2018 season with 18 goals.
Al-Ahly club management will receive an amount of $ 400,000 as a down payment, provided the remainder of the deal value is scheduled after that.
