Video clips that led the security services to arrest those accused of robbing and dragging the “Maadi Girl” to death

Security services managed to arrest those accused of robbing and dragging a girl to death in the Maadi area of ​​Cairo.

The satellite channel “Extra News” published videos showing the victim moments before the crime, when he was carrying a backpack.

The video showed the minibus used in the crime, as the two defendants prepared to implement their plan to steal the victim’s purse.

The Public Ministry announced that it was investigating an accident that claimed the life of a girl in the Maadi neighborhood, explaining that within seven in the afternoon it received a report from the emergency operations room of the Maadi Police Department, about the death of the twenty-four-year-old victim, Maryam, in the Maadi neighborhood, and that a witness had informed the police that he saw a car (white minibus) in which two were traveling, the escort driver snatched the victim’s bag, which led to her colliding with a parked car and later to her death.

The “Public Ministry” came to discuss the body of the victim, and it was found that she was injured in different parts of the body. She also went to inspect the scene, accompanied by officials from the “General Administration of Forensic Evidence Investigation.” When comparing it with the blood sample of the victim, the Public Ministry managed to obtain five video clips of the surveillance machines that lead to the scene of the accident, of which it was clear that the car in which the defendants were traveling passed very quickly.

The Public Ministry asked a witness who saw the victim in the company of another, speaking near the car, near which the Public Ministry found bloody footprints. During their stop, a white minibus approached, with its rear metal plate dirty, and two people were traveling who gave their specifications. The victim’s purse that she was carrying on her back, and clung to it during the movement of the car, disrupting the victim’s balance, causing her head to hit the front of the car that was parked next to her, and the two assailants fled with the bag, while the girl who was accompanied by the victim fled in fear during the accident, adding that the victim stayed for about half an hour at the scene of the accident until the ambulance arrived and then died.

To complete the investigations, the Public Ministry decided to summon the person who accompanied the victim to hear his testimony, and assign the General Administration of Criminal Evidence Investigation to explain the material facts that appeared in the clips taken from the monitoring machines of the incident.
