Baudelaire District Attorney Michael Dougherty confirmed that Al-Issa, 21, lives in Arvada, Colorado, and has lived most of his life in the United States.
Dougherty explained that according to the investigation, the defendant was working alone and is currently in treatment at a local hospital and will be transferred to a circular prison later Tuesday.
In turn, the local police command confirmed that Al-Issa’s condition was stable after his injury to the man and his arrest by the security forces, and stated that the prosecution officially accused him of carrying out 10 first-degree murders, while the motives for the attack have yet to be determined.
At least 10 people, including a police officer, were killed in a shooting attack at the “King Supers” store in the town of Baudelaire on Monday night.
This incident is the second mass shooting to hit the United States in a week and results in deaths, as 8 people, including 6 women of Asian descent, were previously killed 6 days ago in 3 massage parlors in Atlanta and around the state of Georgia and the attack was attributed to a 21-year-old young man.
