The Ministry of Education and Technical Education revealed the position of teachers on the transfer to their workplaces, after the decision to suspend students from attending schools.
In a letter addressed to it, the Ministry affirmed that in reference to the state’s comprehensive plan to protect citizens from the repercussions of the Coronavirus, and within the framework of what was announced in the Council of Ministers on the completion of the study plans of the teaching in the distance education system from January 2, 2021 until the end of the first semester, and postpone all exams until later. Mid-year vacation, I decided the following:
Activate the decision to allow work from home for those whose jobs allow them to work from home to perform the functions of their assigned jobs, without being present at the workplace for the duration of the prime minister’s decision, and the rest of employees perform their duties on a daily or weekly basis.
The employee who suffers from any of the chronic diseases, as recorded in his employment record, will be granted exceptional leave during the entire period of validity of this decision.
An employee suffering from non-chronic conditions will be granted exceptional leave for the same period according to a report issued by one of the government hospitals that he is entitled to this leave.
The employee in contact with the infected person is granted leave for the period specified by the competent medical authority.
An employee who is pregnant or caring for one or more children under the age of 12 receives an exceptional leave.
