The UAE has announced the creation of a treatment for the “emerging crown” virus with “stem cells”.
The Emirates News Agency said today, Friday, that the Ministry of Economy granted a patent for an innovative and promising “stem cell” treatment for “Corona virus” infections, which was developed by a team of doctors and researchers at the Abu Dhabi Center for “stem cells” and includes the extraction of “stem cells” from the patient’s blood and is reinserted after activation.
The patent was awarded for the innovative way in which “stem cells” are collected.
Treatment was attempted in the country in 73 cases and recovered, and the result of the examination appeared negative after the introduction of the treatment into the lungs by inhalation due to a fine mist. Its therapeutic effect is supposed to be by regenerating lung cells and modifying their immune response to prevent them from overreacting to Corona infection and causing damage to healthier cells.
The treatment was successfully submitted and passed the first stage of clinical trials, indicating its safety. None of the patients receiving treatment reported any immediate side effects, and no interactions with conventional treatment protocols were found for Corona patients. Experiments continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of the treatment and it is expected to be completed within two weeks.
It should be noted that treatment was provided to patients in conjunction with traditional medical intervention, and will continue to be applied as an aid to established treatment protocols rather than replacement.
