Dr. Tariq Shawky, Minister of Education and Technical Education, has published a periodic book on the curriculum of the basic education stages for the new 2020/2021 academic year, in the face of exceptional circumstances due to the spread of the new Corona virus.
The plan is based on the multiplicity of sources of learning while taking precautionary measures to ensure the preservation of the general health of students without affecting the curriculum by operating schools for one or two periods depending on the density of the school with the need to ensure that the distance between students within classes is not less than one meter at least. .
The periodic book includes the following:
* The role of educational channels:
– You will be a primary partner in explaining all scheduled lesson plans, from the fourth grade of elementary school to the third year of middle school, through regular appointments with a weekly episode for each subject during a period of (14) weeks, which is the period assigned for the first semester.
– Television episodes, in addition to school lessons, constitute the equivalent of the total number of classes determined according to the specified curricular plan.
The periodic book also defined the norms for studying within the school:
– School attendance. Five or six days as usual in previous years in case of social distancing, but if this is not possible, the minimum attendance is two days a week for grades from fourth to third year. middle school, as well as for grades K-3. Primary school attendance days are no less than four days per week in schools operating a period, even if necessary, to provide safe distances in the spacing, stipulated, the school will operate in two shifts and the days of attendance it will be three days a week.
The distribution plan of the study plan of each subject for the first semester in a period of (14) weeks, according to the approved schedule.
– The lessons assigned to schools are the application, discussion and evaluation of what has been explained through educational channels for basic subjects, as well as an explanation of the rest of study materials and activities that are not broadcast through educational channels .
The periodic book also establishes the controls for the lessons prescribed for the school, which are as follows:
– For grades one to three of primary school (single-term schools). (6) classes are assigned to each of the “Arabic Language and Connect / Multiplayer Curriculum”, and (4) “Math and English Language” classes and (two classes). ) For various activities and (one session) for “religious education, tokatsu and physical education”.
– For grades one to three of primary school (schools with two shifts). (4) classes are assigned for each of “Arabic Language, Mathematics and the Connect / Multiple Curriculum” and (3) classes for “English Language”, and one class each of Miscellaneous Activities, Religious Education, Tokatsu and physical education.
– The fourth to sixth grades of primary school … (two classes) are assigned each for “Arabic Language, Mathematics” and one session for each of the subjects “English Language, Science, Social Studies, Religious Education, higher level, physical education and artistic education “. A session will be exchanged between “Activities and Second Foreign Language Course”.
Grades from first to third year of high school. There will be (two classes) for each one of “Arabic Language, Mathematics”, and a session for each of the subjects “English Language, Science, Social Studies, Religious Education, Higher Level, Computer Science and Technical Education” and an Exchange between the second foreign language course and activities.
