Turkmenistan President: Drinking Licorice Helps Treat Corona virus

Today Saturday, the head of an Asian country said that a drink known for its great ability to reduce thirst, can help treat the Corona virus.

The president of Turkmenistan, Raban Guli Bardi Mammadov, a former dentist, suggested during a ministerial meeting that his citizens take licorice to deal with the Corona virus, according to “France 24” in its English version.

The Turkmen President said this article “prevents the Corona virus from developing,” adding: “Scientists are looking for effective treatments for the Corona virus and are conducting many studies, and one of them could be the roots of licorice.

Mamedov expressed his belief that licorice “will prevent the growth of the virus in the body”, adding that “even a low concentration of an aqueous extract of licorice has an equivalent effect.”

This is not the first time that the president of this Central Asian country has encouraged residents to switch to an aromatic plant to combat COVID-19.
