The Armenian news agency reported on Saturday, citing a correspondent for the Russian WarGonzo station, that a unit of Turkish special forces entered the city of Hadrut in the Nagorno Karabakh region and was repelled by Armenian forces.

According to ARMENPRESS, the journalist indicated that the Turkish special forces wore black uniforms, and their objective was to raise the Azerbaijani flag in the city to confirm the political statement of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on control of the city of Hadrot.

Azerbaijan announced that it wants to involve Turkey in negotiations, regarding France as a non-neutral party, and noted that the current truce ends with the end of the exchange of prisoners and bodies.

Earlier Saturday, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov said that the ceasefire in the conflict in the Nagorno Karabakh region would only last for the period it takes for the Red Cross to organize the exchange of bodies.

Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to a humanitarian ceasefire during talks in Moscow.

During a press conference in Baku, the foreign minister said that the current situation on the ground in the mountainous enclave does not suit his country and he hoped that Azerbaijan will control more land over time.

This comes as the Foreign Ministry in Azerbaijan’s Nagorno-Karabakh region accused on Saturday of having taken the ceasefire talks as a cover to prepare for military action, at a time when all Parties exchanged accusations of violating the armistice negotiated by Russia.

In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said that the only way to achieve true peace is for the international community to recognize the region as an independent republic.
