Turki Al-Sheikh, president of the Saudi Entertainment Authority and owner of the Spanish club Almería, congratulated Al-Ahly on his official crowning of the 42nd Egyptian League title, after Zamalek was defeated by Aswan.

Zamalek lost to Aswan 1-0, in the match that brought them together on Friday on matchday 28 of the Egyptian League competition.
With this, Al-Ahly managed to crown the 42nd league title in their history and the fifth in a row, after losing their rival Zamalek, widening the difference between them to 17 points, 6 rounds before the end of the league, already that the point difference became greater than the number of match points remaining.
Al-Ahly tops the Egyptian league standings with 72 points, while Zamalek is in the league with 55 points.
Al-Ahly will meet Egypt for punt on Saturday night as part of the league’s 28th round.
Notably, Al-Ahly holds the record for crowning the league 42 times, followed by Zamalek, who won the title 12 times in history.
