Turki Al-Sheikh Praises Al-Ahly Principles: A Need To Honor

Turki Al-Sheikh, president of the Saudi entertainment authority and owner of the Spanish club Almería, commented on Al-Ahly’s welcome to postpone the semi-finals of the African Champions League.

Al-Ahly had welcomed the proposal to postpone the semi-finals of the African Champions League to be played in mid-October, while Zamalek announced his rejection of this idea.

The officials of the CAF Competitions Committee had met yesterday, Tuesday, to carry out a vote of the Clubs of the Champions League and the Confederation on the postponement of the semifinal matches of the two tournaments or the residence on time. See details here

Al-Sheikh Ali said on his Facebook page, “Al-Ahly takes into account the health conditions of the Moroccan brothers and agrees to postpone the African Champions League.”

He added: “Throughout history, ethics is a sport, from judo bribes to people of principle … a need to honor.”

Al-Ahly were scheduled to face Wydad in the semi-finals, and Zamalek against Raja as well, provided the first leg was held on the 25th and 26th, and the return leg was in Cairo on the 2nd or 3rd of October.

It should be noted that Ahmed Ahmed, president of the African Football Confederation (CAF), will hold a press conference tomorrow Thursday to announce the final decision on the postponement or celebration of the African Champions League semi-finals.
