The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has expressed his satisfaction with the return of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un to public activities, after many media reports about his “serious illness”.
“I am pleased to see that he is back and in good shape,” Trump said, in a press release on Saturday night, in response to a question about Kim Jong-un’s first public appearance in 20 days.
On Friday night, the Korean Central News Agency of North Korea said Kim Jong-un participated in the closing ceremony of construction work on a fertilizer production plant in the north-north area of Pyongyang.
Before that, the North Korean leader had not appeared in public since April 11, when he held a meeting of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Korean Workers’ Party on domestic policy.
