Former Al-Ahly player Mohamed Aboutrika revealed how he felt after Mohamed Magdy’s “Afsha” goal in the African Champions League final.
Al-Ahly were crowned champions of the African Champions League for the ninth time in club history after beating Zamalek 2-1 in the tournament final at Cairo Stadium, and Afsha scored a fatal goal for the team.
Aboutrika said in statements through “BN Sports”, “Al-Ahly and Zamalek matches are always immortal in memory, the African final match is the most expensive and special in the history of the Al-Ahly club and the parties of Al-Ahly and Zamalek “.
“This historic match saw Al-Ahly win the ninth championship after an absence of 7 years, to re-qualify for the Doha Club World Cup,” he said.
He added: “4 years away from Al-Jazeera club and Al-Ahly. Perhaps fate gave me the opportunity to get closer to the club that I love and the players that I encouraged.”
He continued: “Afsha scored a goal that is the most expensive in the history of Al-Ahly. Doha as a whole. I heard my voice after Afsha’s goal. My daughter said to me:” Baba, what are you doing? “This is a natural sentiment for any fan who loves Al-Ahly.
“The coronation of Al-Ahly in the African championship continued with the presence of Moamen Zakaria in the stadium, and next to him is Mahmoud Al-Khatib, the best player in the history of the club, one of the most beautiful and happy moments of my life as an Al-Ahly fan. “
“With that tournament it has a special flavor because the final is against Zamalek, the great club,” he concluded. “The derby always has a special flavor, a continental tournament that Al-Ahly crowned a very difficult season, one of the best moments of 2020.”
