The current season is the 45th in the history of the competition with all its previous features in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Al-Hilal is the all-time champion of the Saudi League competition by winning 16 previous titles and looking to increase the number to 17.
As for Al-Nassr, he has 9 league titles, the last of which was in the season before the last, and Al-Ittihad has 8 championships, the last of which is 2008/2009.
Al-Shabab previously won the league six times, the last of which was the 2011/2012 season, while Al-Ahly four times, the last of which was the 2015/2016 season.
