Weather forecasting models at the Forecast Center for Rain Maps and Planning Sector in Egypt revealed a prediction of moderate rainfall on the northern coasts, as its intensity decreases in the governorates of Lower Egypt and North Sinai , and can reach the southern shores of the Red Sea and Cairo today Thursday.
The center explained that moderate rains are expected to fall on the northern coasts, and its intensity to decrease in the governorates of North Sinai and Lower Egypt, reaching Cairo on Friday.
And he asked the Ministry of Irrigation to act with caution and take all necessary measures to avoid the damage that may arise from the rains on the northern coasts.
The head of the planning sector of the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Iman Sayed, explained that the Forecast Center issues a report every 72 hours, which monitors the areas in which it rains and its amount with high precision, and also emits instructions to the sectors of the Ministry to take the required lifting of the state of emergency and the preparations.
Alert status of the Ministry of Water Resources:
The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced a general alert state in the apparatuses and sectors of the ministry to receive the torrential and rainy season, and to complete the work 24 hours a day to guarantee the efficiency and performance of the workflow in the stations .
The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Dr. Muhammad Abdel Aty, instructed the central bodies, sectors and departments attached to carry out the works 24 hours a day in order to ensure the efficiency and performance of the work flow in the water pumping stations, and providing ready and mobile emergency units to be deployed in the areas expected to fall into them.
