Books – Mohamed Salah:
With the arrival of the winter season and the associated decrease in temperatures and cold weather, the Agency for Consumer Protection and Electricity Regulator was eager to publish and explain some important steps that citizens who depend on heating must take water with electric heaters because the electricity bill does not increase as a result of the consumption of the heater.
The steps you set up and announced for the device included the following:
1. Do not adjust the heater to high temperatures, because it stresses the heater, shortens the life and increases the electricity bill.
2. It is preferable to set the thermostat at a temperature between 50 and 60 ° C.
3. It is preferable not to operate the stove continuously throughout the day because the heat is lost, the temperature drops, and it reheats more than once.
4. It is preferable to turn on the heater half an hour before hot water is needed.
5. Discharge the water from the heater to the designated location to feed the heater with water every 3-6 months to remove impurities that hinder heat transfer, which reduces the efficiency of the heater and therefore consumes more electricity.
6. When purchasing a new heater, it must be highly efficient, inexpensive, and contain the Energy Efficiency Label (Energy Efficiency Label).
