Three people accused of the “Fairmont Girl” case arrive at Cairo airport

Today, Thursday, the Egyptian Interpol mission arrived from Lebanon at the Cairo airport, accompanied by 3 defendants, who wanted to be arrested and taken away for the case of sexual assault on a girl at the Fairmont hotel.

The suspects arrested are: “Ahmed H” and “Omar H” and his brother, “Khaled”.

The case began at the end of July, when the hashtag “Vermont Crime” was published on the social network Twitter, where hundreds of tweeters shared a story that the Assault Police account carried on Instagram of a girl who said she had been raped in 2014 inside a Vermont hotel after being drugged with GHB, leading to Ella losing consciousness, and they were photographed during the assault, in addition to engraving letters of their names on her body and threatening her if she decided to report them.

The management of the Fairmont Nile City Hotel announced that the hotel is aware of and is following what is circulating on social media regarding the rape incident, which may have occurred at the hotel during a special ceremony for one of the event organizers and parties in 2014.

The hotel added, in a statement posted on its Twitter account, that “the hotel staff and the groups responsible for this news were contacted immediately to provide assistance and support, as one of our main priorities is to maintain the safety of our guests and colleagues “, confirming their commitment to help the authorities and the authorities concerned. The authorized person in case an official investigation is opened.

So far, the Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the imprisonment of two accused of raping a “Vermont girl” and has ordered the arrest and transfer of another 7 (3 of them were captured in Lebanon) and are being investigated.

In another part of the case, the Public Ministry ordered the arrest of three defendants in preventive detention and the release of three others on bail of 100,000 pounds each, in incidents in which they were charged in connection with the ongoing investigations into the incident of assaulting a girl at the hotel (Fairmont Nile City), which included homosexuality, sex parties and substance abuse.
