Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Public Services and Urban Communities, said that the new construction requirements will be issued next January.
The minister added, in televised statements, that whoever submits a request for conciliation for some building infractions, and the conditions apply, this request will be studied without exposing the owners of these removal requests.
Al-Jazzar emphasized that the requirements of the new building include that the buildings are not contiguous and that a garage be provided with the number of units on each property.
He continued: “The purpose of using the residential units will not be changed to commercial or for any other purpose.”
We are 3 days from the end of the last deadline set by the government for citizens who want to reconcile in structural violations to submit requests and pay the severity of reconciliation to legalize the conditions of their structural violations.
According to the recent government decision in early December to extend the conciliation period, the current term is the last and the government cannot extend it according to the law, and this period ends on December 31.
Major General Khaled Abdel Aal, Governor of Cairo, said the tech centers in the neighborhoods will continue to receive requests for reconciliation until the end of December, in compliance with the Cabinet decision.
The governor called on citizens to quickly submit reconciliation requests, as this is the last period before the law is applied to offenders who did not carry out reconciliation procedures.
