The Meteorological Authority confirmed that with the bad weather affecting the northwestern and northern coasts of the country, it is necessary to take preventive measures when lightning and thunder phenomena occur.
The General Meteorological Authority sent a series of advice to citizens, which we list below:
1- Stay away from open windows and doors at home
2- Avoid standing in high places
3- Do not stand next to trees
4- Go to the beach immediately if you are at sea
5- Get away from sanitation networks
6- When you are on the street during lightning and thunder, you should hurry to enter through the entrance of the nearest house.
Today Saturday, a moderate climate prevails in Cairo and Lower Egypt, with moderate winds, mild weather on the northwest coast, moderate on the northeast coast, moderate active winds on the western coasts, moderate climate in the south of Sinai and moderate winds active in the Gulf of Suez and causing disturbances in maritime navigation.
Experts also expect a moderate climate to prevail in northern Upper Egypt, with moderate, hot winds in southern Upper Egypt and sometimes active winds in northern Upper Egypt.
The country is exposed to a morning water fall in Cairo and the northern coasts, which is sometimes dense on the waterfront and canal cities, opportunities for light to moderate rainfall in some areas of Cairo and the Lower Egypt, and abundant moderate rains in some areas of the northwestern coasts Sallum – Matrouh – Sidi Barani – Alexandria – Rashid – Damietta – Port Said – Arish).
Experts expect the weather to be cold at night in Cairo and Lower Egypt, inclined to cold on the western shores, pleasant on the eastern shores and southern Sinai, cold in the north of Upper Egypt, inclined to cold on southern Upper Egypt and southern Sinai.
