Agencies:

Prince Turki al-Faisal, a former Saudi intelligence chief, said his country is not preparing for normalization with Israel and that Saudi Arabia’s credibility is “much higher” than that of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Al-Faisal’s comments came as a comment on the news about a meeting between Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Netanyahu, during an interview with “CNN”, and were quoted by the “Russia Today” network.

He added: “Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan denied this completely and unfortunately the media follows what is broadcast from Israel and does not follow what is broadcast from the Kingdom.”

He continued: “The Kingdom denied this and I believe that the credibility of the Kingdom must be much greater than the credibility of a person like Netanyahu, a person accused in his country of having lied to the Israeli people on various matters, so how can they believe a liar and not believing an honest one in all his previous posts. “

In response to a question about whether there are preparations for normalization between Saudi Arabia and Israel, Al-Faisal said: “There is no preparation at all. The kingdom has a fixed position, and the king, in his speech to the Shura Council, stated that the Palestinian problem is the problem of the first kingdom and that the kingdom is committed to the Arab peace initiative. “
