The draw for the European qualifiers for the final phase of the World Cup, which will be held from November 21 to December 18, 2022, took place today, Monday, in Zurich, Switzerland.
The following is the result of the European draw for the 2022 World Cup:
Group A: Portugal – Serbia – Ireland – Luxembourg – Azerbaijan;
Group two (B): Spain – Sweden – Greece – Georgia – Kosovo;
Group three (C): Italy – Switzerland – Northern Ireland – Bulgaria – Lithuania;
Group four (D): France – Ukraine – Finland – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Kazakhstan;
Group E (Belgium – Wales – Czech Republic – Belarus – Estonia)
Group F (F): Denmark – Austria – Scotland – Israel – Faroe Islands – Moldova;
Group G: Netherlands – Turkey – Norway – Montenegro – Latvia – Gibraltar;
Group H: Croatia – Slovakia – Russia – Slovenia – Cyprus – Malta;
Group I: England – Poland – Hungary – Albania – Andorra – San Marino;
Group Ten (J): Germany – Romania – Iceland – North Macedonia – Armenia – Liechtenstein.
Thirteen teams from Europe will qualify for the World Cup final, and the 55 teams from the old continent have been distributed into 10 groups according to the draw, and the champions of these groups will qualify directly, while 3 teams will qualify through of the supplementary stage as the best seconds.
The 55 teams were classified in 6 levels, before the draw, as the first five included 10 teams and the last five included 5 teams.
Here are the levels:
Level 1: Belgium, France, England, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands.
Second level: Switzerland, Wales, Poland, Sweden, Austria, Ukraine, Serbia, Turkey, Slovakia, Romania.
Third level: Russia, Hungary, Ireland, Czech Republic, Norway, Northern Ireland, Iceland, Scotland, Greece, Finland.
Fourth level: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Albania, Bulgaria, Israel, Belarus, Georgia and Luxembourg.
Fifth level: Armenia, Cyprus, Faroe Islands, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kosovo, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Latvia, Andorra.
Sixth level: Malta, Moldova, Liechtenstein, Gibraltar, San Marino.
