The Public Ministry will initiate investigations into an incident of contempt for the Islamic religion, of a person who insulted the Messenger of God.
The Public Ministry stated in a statement Wednesday night that the Monitoring and Analysis Unit of the Attorney General’s Office had monitored the widespread circulation on social media sites of an image of a text conversation attributed to a person residing in the Ismailia governorate that constitutes a crime of contempt for the Islamic religion by insulting the Messenger of God and by presenting the matter to the Attorney General. He ordered an urgent investigation into the incident.
The Prosecutor’s Office, the Ismailia College Prosecutor’s Office, accelerated the investigation of the incident, which was registered with the number 4165 for the year 2020, third administrator in Ismailia.
