Books – Tariq Samir:

The prosecution said it had authorized the arrest of the deceased, Awais Al-Rawi and others in the village of Al-Awamiya in Luxor for questioning on the alleged terrorist crimes, in light of the findings of the National Security Sector investigations.

The Prosecutor’s Office said, in a statement on Tuesday, that it was notified of the death of Aweys al-Rawi, after his attempt to resist the police force that came to his residence and his family, who should be detained with the permission of the “Public Ministry”, with an automatic firearm that was seized near his body with the intention of preventing the implementation of the permit.

The statement added that the Public Ministry proceeded to discuss the body of the deceased and appointed a forensic doctor to perform an autopsy before burial, then questioned his brother, who was detained during the execution of the permit, as well as the police officer who he was assigned to execute the permission of the Public Ministry, and he heard the testimony of the father of the deceased.

The Prosecutor’s Office revealed that the statements of the three differed on the circumstances of the death, for which the Public Ministry preferred not to disclose the results of their statements in its statement in order to preserve the integrity of the investigations until their conclusion, and ensure access to the truth, according to the statement.

The Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the nullity of what was disseminated on social networks and various news sites about the circumstances of the event, since the father of the deceased denied in the Public Ministry investigations that there had been any aggression against him by the agents or responsible for executing the authorization of the aforementioned Public Ministry, in contrast to what was falsely reported in the complaint of this fact. Enter it.

The Public Ministry called on everyone to adhere to what the Public Ministry issued exclusively on this and other facts, and avoid rumors and false news that inevitably damage public peace and negatively affect the integrity of the investigations.
