At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister followed the current medical situation in all hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Higher Education, and the availability of various medical supplies and devices in them to provide comprehensive aspects of care for cases infected with the virus. “Corona,” reiterating the need to ensure the availability of all the different medical supplies in hospitals, and regularly track inventory.

During the meeting, the Minister of Health reviewed the state’s plan to provide basic health services while facing the emerging crisis of the “Corona” virus, which aims to provide basic health services, work to prevent the spread of infections among citizens within health facilities and maintaining the safety of service providers, while taking all measures regarding the monitoring and follow-up of suspicious and less suspicious cases, indicating that the plan depends on six axes, the first of which relates to governance and crisis management, through the formation and activation of a crisis room in each governorate, taking into account the participation of all actors in crisis management in the chamber, with automatic identification Simplified protocols and protocols to organize the provision of basic health services in coordination with treatment protocols entry of the new Corona virus, and an ongoing evaluation of services to clarify the strengths and weaknesses and the extent of the need to stop or add a service, as well as the establishment of more than one means of communication with the emergency room to report developments in each health facility. .
The minister added that the second axis of the plan is related to the organization of the provision of health services, through outpatient clinics, reducing waiting times, increasing the number of clinics and booking through the “Call Center” , in addition to activating the visual examination for all patients before entering the health facilities. With mechanisms to isolate suspects in all health facilities (not designated for isolation) and establish clear standards and protocols to deal with cases of suspicion and referral at all levels.

The Minister of Health also reviewed, during the meeting, a proposal for a plan to coexist with the emerging “Corona” virus during the next stage, in the context of the State’s effort to gradually return to life with full commitment to all preventive measures to avoid infection with the virus.
