Catalan radio RAC1 revealed the complexity of the transfer of Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez, Barcelona forward, to Atlético de Madrid, following the news of the termination of his contract with Barça.
According to the radio report, Barcelona does not accept the transfer of the Uruguayan striker to the Spanish neighbor, without the Madrid club paying financial compensation.
And he added: “In the agreement between Suárez and Barcelona, there is a list of the most important teams in Europe to which the forward will not be able to travel, but Atlético de Madrid was not among these teams.”
And he continued: “The president of Barcelona, Josep Maria Bartomeu, got out of this dilemma by including Atlético de Madrid on the list, and a contract termination agreement was not signed with him, it was only drafted.”

On Monday, the radio reported that Barcelona had reached a full agreement with Suárez, 33, to terminate his contract, mutually agreeing to move to Atlético de Madrid before the current summer transfer market closes.
Catalan radio indicated that Suárez renounced his financial contributions for the remaining season of his contract, which amounted to 14 million euros, to terminate the contract with Barcelona and leave for free.
