As the Corona virus machine continues to claim more lives and reaches the latest count of more than 300,000 people in the world, the first European country declared the victory expected by millions worldwide.
The Slovenian government confirmed Thursday night that the epidemic officially ended in the country, making it the first European country to do so, after authorities confirmed fewer than seven new daily infections with the virus in the past two weeks.
However, citizens will still need to follow basic rules to prevent the possible spread of the infection.
In a statement, the government said that arrivals in Slovenia from countries of the European Union are no longer required to be quarantined for at least seven days, as was the case since early April.
The country of two million people, bordering Italy, Austria, Hungary and Croatia, has registered 1,464 cases so far and 103 deaths, after announcing the spread of the virus on March 12.
Not for infected aliens.
Furthermore, the government made it clear that foreigners showing symptoms of a Corona infection will not be allowed to enter.
It is noteworthy that the quarantine will remain for at least 14 days, coming from outside the European Union, with the exception of some exceptions that include diplomats and those who transport loads.
This comes at a time when millions of people around the world are waiting for good news in this health battle of months that has affected thousands.

In the latest count prepared by Reuters, global deaths related to the emerging virus topped 300,000 on Thursday night, while confirmed cases of the virus approached 4.5 million.
About half of the deaths were recorded in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
The first disease-related death is reported to have been officially reported on January 10 in Wuhan, China. And it took 91 days for the death toll to exceed 100,000 and another 16 days to reach 200,000, according to a Reuters count based on official government data.
Although it took another 19 days to reach 300,000 deaths.
In comparison, an estimated 400,000 people die annually from malaria, one of the world’s deadliest infectious diseases.
