News Now Washington – United States (Reuters)

As major sports competitions prepare to resume closed-door competitions due to the pandemic of emerging Corona Virus, NBA Commissioner Adam Nelson does not expect fans to return this year.

“The tournament can be completed without fans until next year, depending on the events of the Coved 19 epidemic,” Silver said during a closed-circuit television call to professional league players.

And local media quoted Silver as saying the decision to set the date for the games to return could be made next June.

Silver explained that the NBA depends on 40 percent of revenue for fans who attend stadiums, so just playing in front of the television audience will cause significant financial losses.

In light of the difficulties of movement and travel between the states, the League believes that it is best to resume matches only in one or two cities, and Orlando and Las Vegas are the main cities to organize competitions.
