The Minister of Health reveals the date of the start of the vaccination against the “Corona”

Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, revealed the start date of vaccination with the Corona vaccine and the first target groups to be vaccinated with the vaccine.

Zayed said, during a telephone interview with the “Al-Hekaya” program on the MBC Egypt satellite channel on Monday night: “On the first of next month, vaccination against Corona will begin, and the priority will be for medical personnel and elderly, and then the vaccine will be available for the industrial sector of the country.

He explained that there is multiplicity in the sources of the Corona vaccine, and that the Chinese vaccine has been registered and all measures have been taken in this regard. Follow-up: “There are positive developments in terms of hiring, either from AstraZenka, Moderna or Pfizer, and the Jaffe Alliance will allow us to hire companies that produce Corona vaccine directly. ».

He added that the contract is multiple with the “Jaffe” alliance, following up: “There are positive advances in terms of hiring, either from AstraZenka, Moderna or Pfizer, and the GAVI Alliance will allow us to contract directly with the companies that produce the vaccine Crown”.

And he continued: “The shipment of Chinese vaccines will include 500 thousand doses, provided that the influx begins at the end of the current month of the vaccine … and the first vaccination against Corona will begin on the first of next month, and the priority will be for medical personnel and the elderly, and then the vaccine will be made available to the industrial sector of the country.

The Minister of Health stated that the decrease in infection rates is due to the “saturation” that occurred in the areas most vulnerable to infection and the spread of the virus in them, noting that the governorates of Greater Cairo, Alexandria and some areas urban areas in other provinces are the most affected in both waves, and the rebound in the number of infections in these areas.
