Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Deputy Minister of Health and Population for public health initiatives, went to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday morning to discuss a plan to supply the new Corona virus vaccine to Egypt, and thank the sister country for supplying the first batch of Corona virus vaccine is produced by the Chinese company (Sinopharm).
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and official spokesman for the ministry, explained that the minister’s visit to the sister country is part of the depth and interdependence of the relations between the two sister countries, indicating that The minister’s visit includes a discussion of a plan to supply successive batches of the vaccine, as well as the possibility of transferring manufacturing technology while Coronavirus vaccines belong to the holding of biological preparations and vaccines (Vacera).
He said that the minister plans to also discuss with the Emirati side the exchange of experiences regarding the results of the clinical research carried out on coronavirus vaccines, and the Minister of Health and Population will meet with her Emirati counterpart to discuss strengthening of the forms of cooperation in the field of health.
It should be noted that Dr. Hala Zayed, Minister of Health and Population, had received the first batch of the new Corona virus vaccine produced by the Chinese company (Sinopharm), from the United Arab Emirates, last Thursday, in the presence of the Chinese Ambassador to Egypt (Liao Li Zhang) and Ambassador Maryam.
